India: Environmental conditions in New Delhi deteriorate again to serious pollution levels

According to the Russian satellite network, the National Air Pollution Control Bureau of India recently said that the environmental air quality in New Delhi and its surrounding areas has improved to a serious level of pollution.

The air pollution level in New Delhi has soared in the winter, and the fireworks in Diwali have increased pollution. Local people have put on masks to prevent smog.

According to the National Air Pollution Control Bureau of India, the environmental air quality index in New Delhi was 467 units on the morning of November 13. According to the World Health Organization standards, 0-50 units are healthy.

Experts believe that the environmental conditions have deteriorated again because of weak winds and falling temperatures.

From November 5th to 16th, New Delhi will implement the private car restriction measures, according to the one-day single-number car on the road, and the two-day double-number car on the road. In addition, the Indian authorities have temporarily banned the use of diesel generators, and fire trucks have begun to sprinkle water on the streets to humidify the air.

Air quality in New Delhi has deteriorated dramatically since November. The main reason is that around New Delhi and neighboring states, farmers harvested crops in the autumn after harvesting crops, and the smoke caused serious air pollution. According to official data, at least one million people in northern India are killed by smog every year.
