Jakarta new landmark Peruri 88
-- Castle In The Sky
MVRDV, Jerde Partnership and ARUP have designed Peruri 88, a new landmark in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Peruri 88 is a vertical city in Jakarta that combines densification with more green space needs. The building is 400 meters high and is used for mixed use, including retail, office, residential, luxury hotels, four-story parking, wedding houses, a mosque, IMAX theater and outdoor amphitheatre.
The building is 400 meters high and looks like a stack of 10 separate buildings. The MVRDV studio teamed up with Jerde and Arup Engineering USA to design the 88-story vertical city, which is part of a developer bidding project in the southwestern part of the city.
The building consists of four towering towers built above the commercial base, including a range of apartments, hotels, offices, shops, cinemas, mosques and super-altitude amphitheatre accessible by outdoor elevators.
